Taking the URB-E to Las Vegas for CES 2016
The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is one of the most-followed technology exhibitions in the world, so of course URB-E needed to get in on the fun. This January, we packed our team and several URB-Es up and joined RAM Mounts at their CES 2016 booth for a week of events and exhibitions. RAM Mounts makes the incredibly solid cell phone mounts
and tablet mounts
we sell as URB-E accessories, and we couldn’t have found a better team to share a space with.
Pepcom Digital Experience
We started off the week at CES 2016 with Pepcom Digital Experience
at the Mirage, where over 1500 members of the press checked out the cream of the crop in product and service innovation.
URB-E Press Attention
The URB-E caught everyone’s attention at CES 2016—reporters, writers and camera teams from around the world mobbed our booth all night! Our visitors were compelled by the URB-E story—we’re a little startup with big urban innovation dreams—and they lined up for test rides. Some of the publications we spoke with included CNET, TechCrunch, Clark Howard, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.
CES 2016 URB-E Team Highlights
Next up was the Amazon Launchpad Party
at the Wynn Resort and Casino. Amazon presented speakers who had already launched their companies and products on the platform, and we connected with other innovative startups to compare notes.
We were thrilled to go to the TryCelery Party
in the penthouse suite at Caesar’s Palace with other hardware startups who also launched pre-order campaigns using TryCelery. It was a great opportunity to collaborate with companies in industries with similar markets.
The highlight of our week was definitely the Wyclef Jean Concert
at Brooklyn Bowl. URB-E was invited to participate by none other than Wyclef himself, who rode an URB-E onstage at the beginning of his set and again when Curtis Young showed up for a freestyle cameo! Pinch us, we might be dreaming.
Long story short, the URB-E had an incredible week at CES 2016. We can’t wait to see where it leads!
