URB-E 2016 Year in Review

2016 was a groundbreaking year for personal transportation around-the-world, and we're thrilled to be at the forefront of this urban revolution. 2017 is already shaping up to be an exciting year, with CES and the Detroit Auto Show right around the corner, however, we thought we'd take a moment to review some highlights from 2016: This year, in December, we reached a major milestone: we shipped our 3,000th URB-E! Three thousand. We became officially approved on Los Angele's MTA, Metro, and Metrolink! In February, we received our official United States patents. In March, URB-E Black Label launched on Amazon Launchpad, quickly becoming the highest rated electric vehicle available, and was featured as a premier transportation start up by Amazon. In April we began working with the Long Beach Fire Department on the new URB-E Trailer. Followed by the LA Food Fest. In May, we opened our new flagship showroom in Pasadena, California, just three blocks from our production facilities, at 54 E Green St. Come visit us! In June, we began international shipping via our incredible partners at FedEx to over 60 countries, and have already delivered to: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Dubai, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK. This summer we debuted the new City Edition URB-E. In August, we installed our very own HAAS MiniMill CNC machine to allow for rapid prototyping at our Pasadena Headquarters. Yes, you can literally come and watch URB-E's being made! In November, we launched at Nordstrom, becoming a top holiday gift. Throughout the year, URB-E partnered with global brands to redefine urban living such as: Whole Foods, AirBnB, JoyMode, Nordstrom, Pandora, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Microsoft, Insomniac, Andy Gump, Los Angeles Metrolink, WeWork, Los Angeles MTA, Blaze Pizza, Airstream, NetSuite, Los Angeles Food Fest, Jamestown LP, Long Beach Fire Department, LUXE Valet, 85 Degrees, LA Times, and many more. During 2016 we changed the way people vacation with some of the country's premier hotels, including: W Hotel Austin, Driskill Hotel Austin, Fairmont Miramar Santa Monica, Lenox Hotel Boston, Solage Calistoga, Park Central San Francisco, and Argonaut Hotel San Francisco. In April, we cruised the streets of New York: During the Boston Marathon, we zipped through Cambridge and Boston: In June, we fed the people at the LA Food Fest: In August, we got in touch with our racing heritage at Monterey Car Week: Over the summer, we became an Internet Pokemon sensation: During November, we made an award winning debut at the LA Auto Show: This fall we conquered the hills of San Francisco: And of course none of this could have been possible without our amazing customers who believe in our efforts to change the way that people live.
