The URB-E Scooter Electrifies at the Auto Club NHRA 2015 Finals

URB-E NHRA 2015 Finals 05 The Auto Club’s National Hot Rod Association celebrated the end of its 2015 season with a weekend-long event on November 15 in Pomona, CA. URB-E attended this popular event with plenty of foldable electric scooters in tow ready to showcase their innovative, portable design. URB-E NHRA 2015 Finals 01 Held at the historic Auto Club Raceway, the annual event attracted people from all over the country. More than 45,000 auto racing enthusiasts braved the chilly, rainy, overcast Californian weather conditions to take in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series world championships. Grant Delgatty, the co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of URB-E, worked the crowd by riding around and introducing the audience to his commuter-friendly invention. People reveled at the URB-E’s breathable comfort seat, the powerful 36v lithium-ion battery, and the integrated shock-absorption system. URB-E NHRA 2015 Finals 02 URB-E even offered up some demo scooters—complete with customized team inserts—to select Funny Car and Top Fuel teams for use as pit bikes during their races over the weekend. One of these teams, DHL’s Del Worsham, ended up taking the top spot at the 2015 NHRA Nitro Funny Car World Championships at the event! We loved it!” URB-E NHRA 2915 Finals 04 The URB-E electric scooter’s 35-lb lightweight design was adored by the teams who tested it and the attendees alike. Passers by appreciated its portability, LED headlight, short charge time, and its ability to fold. Multiple people asked Grant where they could buy an URB-E of their own in order to make their urban commute easier.
